I am lucky enough to have known a lot of amazing women, and love watching them make their mark on the world. I thought I would use a picture for this post from a trip I did a few years ago with a marvelous group of women to the Grand Canyon. Some of us were old friends and some brand new friends. We bonded, learned from each other, were vulnerable and pushed each other beyond what we thought was possible. It was one of the most wonderful trips I have ever taken. Women supporting women is a powerful force.
If you haven’t checked out my series on Women who Inspire yet, head on over and see their stories. I have been so impressed by how honest and inspiring they have all been.
In honor of National Women’s Day, I thought I would share with you some of my favorite podcasts, and video’s featuring some badass women.
Katie Couric’s Interview with Jennifer Garner – Is she as nice as she seems?
The short answer is yes. Listen and hear how she is fighting for a child’s right to privacy and starting a company called Once Upon a Farm dedicated to making organic food available to all families.
Reese Witherspoon’s Series Shine On
In this series, Reese Witherspoon interviews women who inspire her. She interviews Dolly Parton, Pink and a number of other strong women making an impact in the world.
Also, check out her website Hello Sunshine, for book recommendations and other fun things as only Reese can deliver.
Willie Geist’s Sunday Sitdown with Akwafina and Kristen Bell
Don’t miss either of these interviews. Akwafina is hilarious and self-effacing, and if you didn’t already love her you will now.
Kristen Bell tells it like it is. I have always respected her honesty, and her willingness to share what is hard in order to help others. I think it is so important to not always make life look like it is perfect and to share the bumps along the way.
Monica Lewinsky
I have followed Monica Lewinsky in recent years and I am amazed by her ability to gracefully put herself back in the public eye. She is using her voice to have a national conversation about bullying and public shaming. We need this discussion now more than ever.
Watch this Ted Talks Daily with Monica Lewinsky on The Price of Shame, and this revealing interview on Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard.
4 things with Amy Brown -Kelsea Ballerini
Listen to Amy and Kelsea discuss gratitude and women empowerment.
There are lots of strong female voices out there and I can’t wait to share more of them with you. What have you listened to, or read lately that inspires you?
