My Favorite Romantic Comedies

February 13, 2020

Normally today would be a post from my Women Who Inspire series, but I was waiting until I launched the blog to reach out to these awesome ladies so you will have to wait one more week. So …  since it is Valentine’s Day week and romantic comedies are one of my absolute favorite things, that is what I am going to share with you today! If I were to curl up on the couch on a rainy day – this is what I would watch. There are definitely some rom-com all-stars that are featured in more that one movie.

My Favorite Rom-Coms

You’ve Got Mail

This might be my all-time favorite movie. Who doesn’t love Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan?

Run-Away Bride

Julia Roberts is on my list quite a few times. She has mastered the rom-com.  This is a fun movie.

My Best Friend’s Wedding

Another Julia Roberts classic. If you have ever had a best guy friend you have to watch this movie.

Love Actually

This is my “wrapping present’s movie”. Such a classic.

Bride and Prejudice

My sister got married in East Africa and my sister made me watch it when I was en route. The music is amazing.

Notting Hill

You had me at “I’m just a girl standing in front of a boy asking him to love her”.

All of the Bridget Jones Movies

I love a quirky, imperfect heroine. Bridget Jones fits the bill.  The books are just as good.

When Harry Met Sally

I don’t think this needs an explanation.

The Wedding Date

I love this movie, and I especially love the setting.

Sweet Home Alabama

Reese Witherspoon shows us you can never forget your roots.

The Other Woman

If you are in need of a good laugh try this one. Leslie Mann and Cameron Diaz’s physical comedy is about as good as you can get.

Crazy Rich Asians

Don’t you hate when you read a book and the movie doesn’t do it justice?  Well, not the case with this one. The movie stayed true to the book and Akwafina sealed the deal!

Mystic Pizza

Julia Roberts before she was Julia Roberts.

Four Weddings and a Funeral

Hugh Grant does such a good job of being awkward and romantic. It is what he does best.

Love Letter

You may not have caught this one, but it is a fun little movie about love with a cast you will definitely recognize.

What are your favorite romantic comedies?
