We were kind of starting over at the cottage this summer – so what a perfect time to organize and use some fun labels! I have been obsessed with these labels I found on Etsy at Paper and Pear a while ago and was dying to use them. And you can’t deny that the basics just look better in mason jars.

As you may have read in my last post, our little cottage is a bit quirky. I asked my husband if he could straighten out the kitchen cabinet doors, but he quickly let me know that there is only so much you can do when the house is sinking. (sadly a common flaw with living near a lake). I have also discovered that when it rains really hard the dining room floor becomes a little wet … but I digress. My point is there was only so much I could do with the kitchen and I was also ready to hang up my paintbrush. So this was an easy and affordable way to add my stamp on the kitchen.

I love mason jars, but hate that labels don’t go on smoothly because of all the writing on them … but I learned that Ball makes smooth mason jars with no writing! Mind blown! (ok I know some of you would be excited by something like this). I asked Kim at Paper and Pear and she gave me her source for all things jars. I was able to get all my jars including spice jars and lids for under $50. I definitely would not have made it out of the container store for that. They also create the perfect way to keep moisture out of all your staples.

I also grabbed some bottles off amazon for my vinegars.

So just a little fun project for you organization junkies! Especially in a summer where we are all spending a little more time at home.
